Day by day Android vulnerability is being a buzzing word to the Android users. In recent days, a lot of vulnerabilities have been discovered in the operating system that can facilitate the hackers to get root access to devices running on Android OS. Although Google, the developer of Android OS, has fixed some of the latest vulnerabilities, some people say that disintegration in the android ecosystem can still open a way for the hackers to manipulate the system.
Trend Micro, an IT security company, says that android devices with Snapdragon system-on-chip (SoC) processors, including Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 6P and Samsung Galaxy Note Edge are more vulnerable to the hackers.

The vulnerabilities can be exploited by the hackers to gain the root access on the targeted devices by simply running a malicious application on the device. The flaws that make the android system vulnerabilities have been fixed to a greater extent, but it results in fragmentation of android ecosystem and thus hackers can still take the advantages of vulnerabilities.
Due to the fragmentation of the android ecosystem, many users of Android devices will not be able to get the regular security update and as a result they will be at risk of information exposure. Some people predict that these vulnerabilities will be a huge problem that will affect the overall security of the users.
Two flaws, namely CVE-2016-0819 and CVE-2016-0805 have been identified that can be exploited to get the root access on an Android device powered by Snapdragon. Researchers recommend the Snapdragon users to check regular system update from the manufacturer of the devices to fix the flaws. However, using up-to-date software is not a complete solution of this bigger problem as it takes months for vulnerabilities to get patched.

Researchers have already said the bad impact of android vulnerabilities. Once the hackers get in, they would be able to copy data, delete or manipulate it, use microphone or camera to monitor every step of the users. It completely depends on the attackers what they will do upon getting root access.
The solution of the vulnerabilities is to install security patches from the manufacturer. Google is concerned about the fact and it has already started sending patches to different manufacturers. The Researchers also suggest users to use default apps and not to install apps from unknown sources.
